My Personal Journey
I’ve worked with wood most of my working life. When I left school I worked with a local antique restoration company, we stripped doors and furniture and I also learnt how to French polish. I then returned to college to train as a wood machinist and worked for 4 years as a joiner and machinist specialising in period property restoration. I set up my own door stripping company 20 years ago whilst living in Kent. Since moving to Sussex 10 years ago I closed down the door stripping plant and now mainly focus on onsite work and furniture restoration. This is why most of my work tends to be on the restoration of period properties.
I also do wood turning as a hobby which I enjoy when time allows.
